DON'T DRIVE ON THE SIDEWALK
Looking at life
as a road trip
through time...
...Inspirational speaker and author, Gail M. Renderman,
realized that each of us are bound to run into detours in our
personal lives as well as in our professional careers. Faced with
many road blocks herself, she became determined to take the
twists, turns, bumps and stops along the way - add laughter and
inspiration - to help others enjoy the journey.   With her
'Never
Quit'
attitude and strong religious belief, she brings a warming
light to the darkest of roads.

Have you ever driven on a detour by yourself?  It can be pretty
scary!   But the sights might be even more spectacular than on
your original path.  So when things go wrong in life....just
remember - GOD has the best view of the road ahead!

In her book, DON'T DRIVE ON THE SIDEWALK -
Inspirations Through The Detours Of Life,
Gail puts a
refreshing spin on the obstacles we face daily and combines
them with positive biblical passages.  She helps us remember
that we never travel alone when we ask GOD to ride by our
side....just watch out when HE decides to drive!

The chapters of the book start out with: Driven By a Dream,
followed by,
Watch Out For Those Ruts, The Courage To
Journey On
, A Light In The Dark, Traveling With Wings-Prayers
and Companions
, When The Road Divides, The Trails Of
Yesteryear
, and finishes up with helping us realize that we all
need to
Enjoy The Journey.

Now, get ready to laugh and enjoy the scenery as you venture
through the detours of life together, without driving on the
sidewalk!

PLEASE PUT CHRIST BACK IN CHRISTMAS
by Gail Renderman
From the book -
"Don't Drive on the Sidewalk"

Please put Christ back in Christmas and remember all the love,
Of what this day should mean to us and whom we should think of,
It's of giving not receiving, giving all the love we can,
Of all the gifts we've received from that Special MAN.

The kids came in the other day, said "Mom, here's our list!
We've written down the things we want for this Christmas,
Commercials say these are the best toys out this year
,
And, mom, we want them so bad, we'll cry if they're not here!"

The kids and I sat down to talk on that very day.
I realized we looked at Christmas in our separate ways.
I told them of the Christ Child and of his strife,
Of all the things HE gave for us, including HIS own life.

A week's gone by now and my kids came in with their new list,
Of all the people they could help for this Christmas,
Saying, "Mom, we don't need anything, we've got so much you know,
We want to give to others to help the Lord's love grow!"

On Christmas Day the kids saw the gifts beneath the tree,
They thanked us ahead of time for whatever they might be,
Then they had a special request, it made me shed a tear,
They gave their gifts to others less fortunate that year.

The tears came to my eyes,me heart it swelled with pride.
My kids put Christ back in Christmas, their own wants on the side.
This Christmas will stay forever in my mind,
Putting Christ back in Christmas spreads love to all mankind.

Please put Christ back in Christmas and remember all the love,
Of what this day should mean to us and whom we should think of,
It's of giving not receiving, giving all the love we can,
Of all the gifts we've received from that Special MAN.
